At the end of this week, a new edition of Anatolian Food Fest will begin. The event, which will last three days in each city, will be held in Ploiesti, Bucharest and Iasi. Anatolian Food Fest aims to promote friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation, Turkish culture and heritage in Romania, by organizing attractive programs and entertainment.
The 2018 edition of Anatolian Food Fest will start in Ploiesti, Prahova County, between June 22 and 24. A similar event took place last year, too, in Ploiesti, 2017 being the first year when the capital city of Prahova County hosted such a festival. This year also, like the last year, the public will enjoy oriental art, culture and dishes. The event will last three days and will bring to the spotlight Turkish crafts, dances and songs, as well as the famous cuisine of this nation, including pastry products, Turkish sweets – baklava, sarailie, as well as various doughs filled with minced meat. Tea and Turkish coffee will also be served at the gastronomy stands.
In addition to selling traditional dishes, the event will also include a number of workshops of artistic creation specific to this culture, as well as funny and relaxing activities for kids. Throughout the festival, concerts will be held by vocal-instrumental Turkish music bands, traditional dance shows and the rotating dervish dance.
After Ploiesti, Anatolian Food Fest will be present in Bucharest, thus people from here having the opportunity to get to know the Turkish hospitality, the folklore, the ancient art, the traditional handmade work. They will also be able to spend their time in a pleasant way, by tasting various goodies from the Turkish cuisine, the festival being the result of the efforts made by the Turkish and Romanian volunteers.
Anatolian Food Fest – Bucharest will begin on June 29 and will be organized in the Titan Park. The event is organized by the Tuna Foundation and is supported by the District 3 City Hall; during the three days, the events will take place from 10.00 to 20.00.
After Bucharest, the events will arrive in Moldavia; Anatolian Food Fest – Iasi will be held between July 13 and 15. Being presented by the organizers as a unique show in Romania, the festival will bring to Iasi music, dances and traditions from everywhere. Those who will come in the Expozitiei Park will have the opportunity to attend various artistic performances and to visit stands where participants from several countries will exhibit traditional costumes, objects and dishes.
